Craig & Pam Booth don't just sculpt cars out of clay.  Here is another happy customer next to his sculpture of a boat.  All concepts considered.

With your photos, they begin with a loosely formed slab of low fired earthenware clay over bunched up newspaper.  Clay is added and subtracted until it begins to resemble the car.  This stage alone takes as much as eighteen hours of hands-on work.  The sculpture is then fired in a kiln, glazed and refired.  Then they are "chromed" with 24K white gold, which is fired again.  Special details are now added.  The pieces take approximately six to eight weeks to complete.  The one off sculptures are approximately 12 inches long.  The figures are sculpted with as much likeness as possible from the photos received.  They are hand painted with a ceramic stain.

The more details required, the more the price varies.  Neither the cars, nor the people are done to any full scale and colors are as nearly matched as possible using clay and glazes.
